Peaches Geldof with Fifi Brown // 2006 on Flickr.

Saddened to hear about the passing of both Leee Black Childers and Peaches Geldof in the past day or so… Leee was someone whose work very much inspired me when I started out shooting and Peaches was someone I have photographed (here in a picture, a version of which was used in Time Out Magazine and for promoting her DJ act Trash Pussies). My condolences and thoughts go out to those close to both Leee and Peaches. RIP

NINA ANTONIA // PORTRAIT SHOOT // PUNK GLOBE // APR 2014

I realise I have been a bit quiet over here in Tumblr land… Lots going on as ever… Here’s a shot from a photoshoot I did a few weeks back with the very talented writer Nina Antonia. Punk Globe have used a few of the pictures in THIS INTERVIEW where Nina talks all things Johnny Thunders including Danny Garcia’s forthcoming documentary Looking For Johnny and the pre-production for the film based on the biography she wrote In Cold Blood.

THE PECKHAM COWBOYS // TOUR POSTERS // MAR 2014

The Peckham Cowboys are hitting the road in March… here is the tour poster with my photo from the shoot in December…

And the poster for the gig in wales with a shot from the first photoshoot I did with the band when I started working with them back in January of last year… Little did I know how much I’d be doing with these guys!!

Timo Kaltio, Alvin Gibbs, Nigel Mogg & Charlie Harper // UK Subs aftershow // The Garage // Highbury // Dec 2013 on Flickr.

Backstage after the UK Subs gig in London last December… I love this picture og a bunch of friends because it makes me think of the web that seems to connect so many people in the music industry… Charlie and Alvin are both in UK Subs, Timo and Nigel are Peckham Cowboys but rewind 20 years and Timo and Alvin were bandmates in Cheap and Nasty alongside Nasty Suicide and Les Riggs… Oh and the Chateau Neuf Du Pape we were guzzling was pretty nice too!

Michael Monroe Band // Michael Monroe // Islington Academy // Dec 2013 on Flickr.

The first live experiment I did with my little Pentax… quite pleased with the results… I’d not gone to shoot the gig, just to catch up with the band but I thought I’d see what I could get shooting from the crowd and I managed some fairly decent shots… Check out the pictures from the gig… and the after party on my flickr acount!

THE PECKHAM COWBOYS // FULL PAGE FEATURE // VIVE LE ROCK // OUT NOW

One of my portraits of The Peckham Cowboys is used in a feature on the band in Vive Le Rock magazine… Taken in a pool hall during their December tour, on my little Pentax, the idea for the shoot came about very quickly and organically and the results are currently being used by the band for their press shots and as the rear cover on their new album Ten Tales from the Gin Palace, the front graced by an illustration by the very talented Joni Belaruski.
