Here’s a snap from a shoot I did with Jacco Gardner, the hotly tipped Dutch psychedelic leaning performer, I only had about 5 mins to shoot him because the only angry woman in Brighton was threatening to chase us… And I thought they were all hippies… He was a really sweet guy though and great to work with… I’ll post some more more shots soon! In the meantime back to the editing!! xx

A couple of new bits of press for The Bowie Lounge, if you click HERE you can hear Keith Sparrow and Elaine Claxton speaking to Tiffany Truscott of BBC Radio Cornwall (at around 32 min in for those of you that are a bit impatient) and the show is critically “acclaimed” by This is Cornwall click HERE to read their preview of The Acorn show or if you want to pick up the current print edition of The Cornishman then you can see one of my shots from the last show accompanying the article. I’ll pop a scan up in here when I get the chance!

Yesterday’s rehearsals went great, there are some fun new things happening for anyone thinking about coming to see the show again! Today should be a day off but I have to spend this morning catching up on editing and Beki admin… at least I have a comfy sofa, with the sun beaming through the window (please don’t say I’ll scare it away!) and a pair of sleepy pugs for company!

A whole bunch of my photos are in the new Artrocker mag this month, including this tearsheet (screengrab??? now we are all digitised??) from The Bowie Lounge (there’s a feature on the upcoming event at The Acorn in Penzance on Saturday 15th June - buy your tickets HERE… We’re heading down there on Thursday morning for rehearsals and in the meantime I have crazy amounts of editing, 2 shoots and 2 gigs to keep me out of trouble!!

Also some of my shots of Arrows of Love, Deap Vally, Glitches, Rolo Tomassi, Bastions, Wounds, Turbowolf, House of Broken Promises, Demob Happy, Velvet Two Stripes, The Strypes… erm I think that’s the lot of ‘em!! I’m having a bit of an archive digging night and came across these shots from a little shoot with a band called Your Other Lover… They’re not going any more but I thought I’d post these up here for all to see… It was a freezing day and they’d just had a load of trauma from the venue because the drummer didn’t have ID… I think everyone was shivering away and then some kids got chased through the park next to us by the police… all a bit dramatic really so we went and spent our money in a different pub until it was time for them to play…

Here’s a sneak preview of The Great Escape festival… I really enjoy shooting Deap Vally live and did a photoshoot with the girls while I was down at the festival too (pics from that shoot, as well as a few others and of course more live ones coming soon!!). Big thanks to my friends in Deathline for tipping me off about the band when I was shooting 1234 festival last year!! xx
